We had a great stay here. We’d read some mixed reviews and I can understand them, however having down other Alps trails this hut is just as good. It’s a remote location so expect some simpler affair when it comes to shower quality (5euro), toilets, running water, breakfast range and dorms. The dinner food was fab, good drinks, friendly staff and a gorgeous view. Yes there are more comfortable huts on the trail however this is a good choice for those doing the detour from AV1!
Everything here was okay, but the service was lacking and pricey compared to other rifugios I have used. It seemed the owners were absent and the place was left to be run by young inexperienced staff, they were fine but some older adult direction much needed, too much was being asked I'd them.
A refugio not to stay, but needed if you want to do the tour of mountain Pelmo. . Although good food, there were no water to drink, no shower, no wifi.
Beautiful location, very nice and communicative service. Very satisfying food and good prices. Definitely hope to come back.
The best start point to reach Mt. Pelmo. From Zoppe di Cadore it is easily reachable by MTB as well.
I was there today. I was the only customer because it was supposed to rain, so the young innkeeper had a bit of time for chatting. he gave me valuable informations to reach the summit of Monte pelmo. Hope to see him next summer when i'll do it 👍🤙.

Rooms were overpacked and the showers were expensive. Mediocre food.
The hut is situated in a very picturesque, calm place. There are two ways to go there - easy (472) and difficult path (480). Be careful if you chose a difficult one. The hut itself is clean with young staff. Here we ate one of the best polenta during AV1 hike. Bean soup and pasta were wonderful too. Minus one star is for a limited breakfast, compared to other AV1 huts.
